Stuart Gordon - Chief Executive
Stuart was appointed CEO of Waikato Innovation Park in 2012. He has a commerce degree from Victoria University and is an experienced commercial chartered accountant. During a term as Financial Controller at New Zealand Dairy Group he managed the acquisition and integration of the fresh industry in the upper North Island which ultimately became Fonterra brands New Zealand. Stuart later became CEO of Livestock Improvement Corporation for eight years during which the organisation changed from a not- for-profit trust to a highly innovative, high returning commercial organisation. Under Stuart’s leadership, LIC: introduced an innovation model; entered the Deer Industry; invested over $1million per annum in Genomic research; completely revamped its information service to farmers; established a highly profitable DNA testing service; and grew its export business exponentially. After a period as an agriculture business consultant, Stuart joined Waikato Innovation Park as global business development director before being appointed CEO. His goals at WIPL are to lift the capability to increase exports in the region through the community of tenants and wider cluster, focused on Innovation, technology and added value spray dried food.
Catherine Clark - Operations Manager
Catherine joined the Waikato Innovation Park management team in 2019, following 11 years of running her own start-up business. She has a Bachelor of Business Studies from Massey University and has enjoyed working in various industries over the years including pharmaceuticals and debt collection.
Now with the opportunity to work in the commercial property world, Catherine enjoys nurturing relationships with our tenants and fostering the development of relationships between tenants so as their businesses can grow and prosper.
Her goal at WIPL is to have 100% occupancy of vibrant tenants, proud to have their business address at Waikato Innovation Park, and be actively involved in this dynamic community
Simon Travaglia - Infrastructure Manager
Simon has been with the Park since 2008 and oversees the Park's growing Infrastructure including new buildings and services. Prior to coming to the Park he was the IT Infrastructure Manager for the University of Waikato and has 30+ years experience in various forms of Infrastructure Management.
Justine Rogers - Senior Administrator/Event Manager
Justine joined our team in 2011. She is our Event Manager as well as our 'go to person' for all enquiries relating to Events, Conferences and any meeting room space requirements. Justine also handles the day to day queries from our tenants and accounts receivable. Justine updates and manages our website and also manages all Health and Safety for our site
Debi Baucke - Accountant
Debi joined our team in 2014. She has a Bachelor of Management Studies from the University of Waikato and is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 10 years’ experience working within the public and private sector. Previously she worked at KPMG as an Assistant Manager in Business Advisory.
Dennis Travaglia - Grounds and Property Maintenance
Dennis is the buildings and grounds maintenance person at the Park, having joined us in 2019.
He has extensive experience in maintenance and holds a National Certificate in Horticulture.
