Moving from concept to commercialisation
The Food Innovation Network is a nationwide network of food development facilities, science and technology expertise, and business development services.
The network has four hubs around New Zealand; one each in
- FoodBowl, Auckland – a state of the art, export-certified pilot plant with seven processing halls
- FoodPilot, Palmerston North – a red-line food pilot plant linking all aspects of food manufacture
- FoodSouthIsland, Canterbury – purpose-built food safe processing spaces, plus a mobile product development kitchen
- FoodWaikato, Hamilton – Waikato Innovation Park’s spray dryer plant
Each centre offers manufacturing facilities and business support for businesses in the food and beverage industry.
Each centre has unique infrastructure and expertise to help businesses develop, test and prove new products with the goal of increasing export potential.
